2024 Business Meeting

October 4-5, 2024



The 2024 Business Meeting will be hosted in Norfolk, Virginia at Old Dominion University on October 4-5, 2024.

Lodging Information:

The accommodations have been arranged at Springhill Suites, 4500 Hampton Boulevard, Norfolk, VA 23508 for $119 per night. Rooms can be reserved using link springhillsuites.com, (SpringHill Suites by Marriott ODU) or calling 757-423-4100. The closest airport is the Norfolk International Airport (ORF).

Tentative Agenda:

1. Planning the upcoming 60th SRCOS meeting themes and invited speakers. The celebrations of 60 years of Summer Research Conferences will be held on June, 9-11 2025 on Jekyll Island, Georgia.

2. Discussion on future of Statistics with the impact of changes in/from other fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Also, the model teaching for the statistics’ courses will be revisited from last year ( in reference to Ed Boone) and this last summer conference ( with David Hitchock).

3. The financial reports.

4. Updating information about grants received and supports to junior faculty and students.
